My name is Polly Douglas, I am a fully qualified nutritional therapist with 4 years experience working with clients to help them feel better, and reach their health goals. I have set up these retreats and demo days to help small groups of people learn how food and dietary changes can make a huge impact on health and wellbeing. They are very informal, fun events where you will have time to reflect on your own habits and practices and perhaps work out how you will change these long term for your own benefit.
There are a lot of retreats out there which focus on ‘detox’ and ‘juicing’ which are great for a holiday from the norm, but they are not designed to set you up with a long term plan, and teach you how to go home and carry out the changes you want to make. I work with people every day, I sit with them for an hour or so and expect them to take on a lot of information, and then go home, process the information and then make it work in their own homes. These retreats are designed to take that first ‘scary’ step away and give you a bit more support and practical demonstration so that when you go home you feel you are already halfway to making the changes.
