How will it work?

 

The retreats run from Saturday Evening until Monday afternoon, with an option to extend if you require a personalised nutritional therapy session.

 

Timings may vary depending on activities and the topic of the retreat. Finer details will be provided upon booking.

 

Saturday

 

Arrive after 3pm and get settled into Arnbeg Cottage, there will be a short introductory talk and an evening meal will be provided. You will have time to relax and fill out your nutritional therapy forms during the evening (if applicable).

 

Sunday

 

Breakfast demonstration and meal

Seminar and activities around blood sugar balance and portion control

Lunch will be provided

Exercise or yoga type activity -timings will be dependent on the activity

Afternoon further discussion around the subject for the retreat (sugar cravings/IBS/menopause)

 

5pm onwards-free time. No evening meal will be provided, you are free to cook your own food, or explore the local pubs/restaurants for dinner. A discount has been arranged with a number of local pubs/restaurants for evening meals if you are attending the retreat. Put what you have learned into practice!

 

Monday

 

Breakfast will be provided

Seminar and activities around the retreat topic e.g. sugar cravings/IBS/menopause

Lunch will be provided

Exercise/yoga type activity

You will be free to leave in the afternoon, details of timings will be dependent on the topic and activities, these will be finalised closer to the date of the retreat.

 

 

Personalised Nutritional Therapy

 

As an additional activity you may wish to add on a one-to-one nutritional therapy session with Polly Douglas. This will be a personalised plan for you specifically. The retreat will teach you general information, but there is nothing better than having a personalised plan. This session will look at you as a whole person, your medical history, current signs and symptoms and it will go into much more detail than is possible during the group setting of the retreat. You will be given an individualised diet plan and specific supplement and functional test suggestions, if required.

 

These sessions could be carried out either on the Monday afternoon (additional cost £70) or on the following Tuesday, if you would like to stay on for an extra night (additional cost £95 including B&B and use of Arnbeg Cottage on Tuesday).

 

Additional activities could include:

  • food allergy tests (an additional £50 will be charged to cover the cost of the test). Results will be given within an hour. These would be carried out on monday afternoon, at the end of the retreat. For more information click here.
  • Mindfulness sessions
  • It may be possible to book a massage, reflexology or other treatments with local practitioners, please let us know your requirements at the time of booking. Additional charges will apply.
  • Trips to local food producers
  • Goat Gander! Take a walk in the surrounding farmland with the goats Heidi and Gretel
